Wisdom of the Earth.
EcoSophy* at the Center for Syntropy is one of our Fieldstudy orientations to help you return to innate natural knowings of how Life within our Human Ecology truly functions and operates. By reengaging with Syntropy (as a Study of Life and Nature), we get to remember what has been "lost" or absent from our modern-day worldview that formed our mindset and shaped our way of relating to the world around us. Ecosophy, when genuinely explored, allows for a restoring process of our foundational relationship with the Natural World to become cultivated.
When we begin embarking on this Journey restoring our own Ecosophy "abilities", the Spirited Nature of Life (Syntropy) cannot remain unnamed or unaddressed for it is the Spirit that animates all of Life is (therefor) Spiritual in Nature. Throughout the study of Syntropy we can find (rather easily) that this "Spirituality" and the viewing of Life as being animated from a Spiritual plane, has simply been missing from our lexicon. That being said, and depending on the milieu you yourself have sprung forth from, your own refinding of what feels true to your own inner knowing, we have found that putting into Language our findings is foundational to recultivate a relating way to the world that actually makes deeper sense.
We are intentional with the meaning and root meaning (origin) of words, and so accurate to the word (sophy), we view eco-sophy as exploring the wisdom of, and intrinsic in, Nature.
We are focused on enlisting from Nature wisdom of its self-regenerative, cumulative, and abundant Spirit, and with that, we want to be clear that, therefore, we are aiming to have all our students move beyond the confines of our Western world's modern-day tradition of the practice "philosophy" and instead move into a deeper relating way to Life and the Spirited Nature of Life. That to us is exploring Syntropic Wisdom.
